Ode to Kraft Dinner

Kraft Dinner my friend, you are a bowl of emotional peace. Especially when James is screaming loud: "Hot Macaroni and Cheese!!" "Please!" I race to the stove to see what I can do and there you are in your blue box begging for a hot bath, you melt all my wrath.

Whether it is with:
brocolli and ham
hotdogs and peas
taco bell sauce
tomatoes
celery salt
seasoning salt, ketchup, BBQ sauce, dill, or ranch you make my belly warm.
How many dinners can you make? I can't count the ways. In weather cold and hot you hit the spot. All I need now is: "Where is the remote and the cable tv, blankie??!"
How do you like your Mac & Cheese?

you have gone mad with love, I know the feeling well. I have it a little easier but not as nice and fancy. All my kids love a cold turkey dog in their hand, it's just magic. It works better than fruit snacks and cheaper! Have you ever thought about writing songs for a commercial? I think you would do very well.

too funny. weird that i've never considered putting anything else in my "ammachee" as nashy calls it. i should totally start throwing peas in to trick him! he actually likes them, but it would be a good add-in for some other vitamins or something. nice poetry there!

I second this loving feeling. I just bought some more today. I vote garden tomatoes, that's my favorite lately. Too bad my 2 year old won't touch it like that. She doesn't want me screwin around with her junk food lunch trying to put healthy stuff in it.

my kid wont eat the veggies either, but sometimes a pea gets stuck in the fork...

I love Bacon with anything. I am glad that you were inspired-the wisdom belongs to my mother who taught me cooking.

Oh, mac n'cheese! The lifesaver. All three of my kids will always eat it, no matter what. Now they make it in Hannah Montana shapes (??!!!) so Emma is extra excited. I love my mac n' cheese with no milk or butter, then put in the fridge and cooled off to room temperature. Or left in the fridge and taken out and eaten cold....

oh my heck, that is so hilarious. You make me laugh so hard. I love your poems. I can't decide if my favorite of your combos is broccoli and ham or the other one with the peas. Yum.

You are so freakin' funny. One of the many reasons I love you. Remember those crazy poems you'd write in junior high?

You these things, I have read twice, for me, this is a relatively rare phenomenon!
